as you loyal blog followers might have noticed, i have recently been reborn to darkness. the 10’s & 30’s of the past century also hold a new fascination over me. this collection started as me leisurely browsing through etsy for things to buy. i unearthed such wonderful items, i had to share. besides, i haven’t done one of these features for far too long.

enjoy!

this morning i woke up with some mad urge to make harem pants. i’ve been a little obsessed with them lately. they always seem so comfortable. & these ones… i never want to take them off.

i probably should have waited until the sun was back up to take pictures. but i was so excited to share them!

i thought they would be really easy to make. they were not. or rather, drawing the pattern wasn’t. first the dropped crotch was too high, then really too low. the fabric i started making them with was also too stiff, so i had to change that. somehow it took me all day. well, minus an hour & half re-watching lost.

since i was setting up my tripod anyway, here is another pair of pants i’ve been meaning to post. i made these for school a while ago. also very comfortable. & with four very roomy pockets. i love the pleats too.

thanks for looking!

i’m so glad i have vacation this week. now i can sew again! for anything other than that stupid sewing techniques class! i’m trying to make as much things as possible from materials i already have for my shop. it’s been so long since i added anything new.

anyway, the theme for this month (craftanon team) is stripes. & this is what i came up with, from what i already have. it took absurdly long to make. & i did it all wrong twice. i’m so out of it, it’s ridiculous. but i think it turned out alright. eventually.

more stripes! this one went very smoothly, until the end. somehow the bottom became wayyy too wide. & i had to put in a new, smaller band of that awesome hearts fabric i have very little of. i love it though.

will be listed soon-ish.

spontaneous etsy feature!

all from fellow craftanon street team members. enjoy!

this week another craftanon etsy street team edition. i think i’ll do these regularly, once a month or so. my fellow teammates are always churning out so much amazing stuff & i need to promote the team more anyway :p

enjoy!

these are, obviously, all from etsy. you can find more team members by searching for ‘craftanon team’ there.
be sure to check them all out! & heart them! & buy them!

it’s friday again! which is when i like to feature things from other diy-ers.
this week’s theme is the fifties. while there were many things wrong about that decade (uhm, sexism?), it did have fabulous style. i love the type of dresses from then.

all from etsy. hope you like what i picked! be sure to check them all out! & comment to let those people i featured know that others actually read my blog!

just finished it! i was kind of in a hurry to reconstruct this, because i wanted to go to another show of them today in antwerp & wear it. it would look so lovely with my smarmy scrap skirt. but i’m not going after all & now it’ll probably just sit in my closet for a while. anyhow, i really like how this turned out :] i wanted to make a dress at first, but i didn’t have enough fabric for anything good. so i made this! i haven’t made a top like this in a long time. i learned to make that contour bust part at what the craft.

it’s kind of inspired by wearydrearies, maybe you can tell. if you disregard the bright colours & overall polished look :p

in case you were wondering, i did not make that flower, only added the heart button to it. it came with a necklace i bought & i didn’t really use it & thought it would look much better on this.

thanks for looking! feel free to comment! i’ve noticed an alarming decrease in comments the past week or two.
