aaaaaaahhh, i love it so much! <(^-^)> i just used it for the first time today & it is absolutely AH-MA-ZIIING.
it’s a brother ms-4. it wasn’t the one i originally wanted & would never even have looked at it if i couldn’t get a €100 discount on it for turning in an old sewing machine because it was ridiculously expensive (usually €400, while they’re around $200 in the u.s., capitalists) & computerized, which scared me. but once i’d seen it in action (the buttonholes the thing made!), i kind of really liked the computerized part. it’s really easy to work with, once you’re used to it.
it works so smoothly & precisely, it seems strange. for a long time after i started working on it, i noticed that something about it was very, very different from my old sewing machine (beside the computerized thing & all the extra features) & it seemed very wrong & i just couldn’t put my finger on it. & then it hit me: it was so quiet. i could actually hear my music over it! i loved it even more when i realized that.
it’s a bit slower than my old one though. but, that’s something i can live with (:
& out of all the features it has, this silly thing is my favourite part:
a window to put your own pictures in! what! i didn’t even see that in the store, but when i discovered it at home i squeed out loud. it can flip open too, it has the list of stitches behind it. it’s such a little thing, but oh so awesome. most sewing machines are so boring & all white. & those that aren’t, are a lot more pretty than functional.
i (obviously) put a picture of a unicorn in it, from my unicorn calender. then i really got into the personalize mood & stuck a few disney stickers on it as well (:
anyway, if you happen to be looking for a good sewing machine, i highly recommend this one.
