i love this jacket so much. when i went back to suriname earlier this year, i rediscovered it in my old closet. it’s funny, i had been looking for a jacket exactly like this for ages. while this was in my old closet all along. i was very happy to discover that it fit me perfectly again. & that it has six pockets.

p.s. i’ve been learning how to properly use my good camera lately. not only with the ‘easy’ setting. these pictures are unedited. pretty cool, huh?

during our photostyling class today we had to go out & do a very mini-photoshoot. & since we had some extra time…

this entire outfit was SO comfortable. i love spandex pants & big slouchy shirts. & of course, my trusty doc martens most of all ♥

for some reason i had horrorpops’ ‘heading for the disco’ stuck in my head a great part of the day. spandex pants, wide pink belt, she’s got the 80’s metal down. i don’t get why anyone would want to repeat this more than once…

what i wore 09/12/11

i didn’t do anything more exciting than go to the library today, but that’s no excuse for looking like a slob. recently i’ve started noticing how often i say/write ‘but’. is it annoying you? it is annoying me. but often i can’t think of another way to phrase these things. see! i did it again.

i just made this skirt yesterday. i feel so lazy now when i make skirts like this, because they’re so easy. but. i like these sort of simple ruffled skirts.

what i wore 05/29/11

i went to the adicts last night. so of course i had to dress up. in a very creative way.
it’s been so long since i went out dressed so extravagantly. i had almost forgotten how much i loved it.

i love this hat. i bought it at claire’s last year when fashion was still in the throes of alice in wonderland. because these things can always be improved, i sewed on some cards & glued different ribbon on it. my choice of cards was entirely influenced by the adicts & motörhead.

it’s a shame i didn’t have time to take better, more complete pictures. i really really loved this outfit. & i wasn’t the only one. so many awesome people came up to talk to me. one woman liked my look so much that she practically forced me on stage when the adicts called for ladies to come up & dance, deaf to my protests that i sucked at it. so i danced & sang on stage with the adicts. & some other pretty girls. i had a pretty amazing time.
the moral of this story? dress the fuck up. always. you’ll have way more fun.
