finally some things for meeeee ^-^

i just finished these. i know i should be working on things for my store, but after the week i’ve had… yeah.

the skirt is so ridiculously wide. i love it! i look forward to taking up two-thirds of the streets & entire paths in trains & subways :]
though i’ll admit i feel a bit like a clown in it with the high waist. i’m soooo not used to high-waisted things. but i love high waisted skirts on other people, so i thought i’d give it a try. isn’t the lace at the bottom amazing? i got it from lindy laces on ebay (in bulk too!).

i also made a matching belt, because i’ve needed a waist belt for so long & can never find any i like. not the best work i’ve ever done, but what the hell. it’s my first belt!

i want to add something to the top of the skirt, but i can’t decide what. it looks so naked without the belt. then again, i could always wear it with a belt… any ideas?

& i probably should have taken better pictures (in daylight) of the top before i entrusted it to the post office, but what the hey. mulysa will get to see it in all its glory & that’s all that matters.

i was soooo worried that i’d fuck this up. i kept changing my mind about what i’d do & delayed the time to actually cut up the t-shirts as much as i could. but she already saw & loved them & i don’t know why i was so worried :p

unfortunately i haven’t been able to make other things or list anything new on etsy since my previous post. daddy unexpectedly came to town & stayed a lot longer than usual & he always (unintentionally) makes us change our plans to suit him. i’ll see what i can do this weekend. the sight of my shop vexes me more every day i don’t add anything new.

(walls of jericho!, taking back sunday!, bring me the horizon! & maybe hanzel und gretyl) ♥ sewing, sewing, sewing ♥ meeting new people ♥ seeing old friends again ♥ open rings (they’re my new favourite thing to put in my lip piercings) ♥ shopping for new fabric ♥ sequins ♥ new perfume (my mommy bought me midnight poison & cherie from dior! i love them so much) ♥ taking back sunday’s new album ♥ book stores ♥ getting up early ♥ having “i’m a barbie girl” sung to me when i’m walking around in all my fluorescentness (out of all the reactions i got at graspop, that one was my very favourite xD) ♥ being called fluorescent ♥ people paying attention to me for something other than my prettiness ♥ brightly coloured tattoos (i want more!)♥ finally having a garter belt! muahahaha ♥ & stockings to go with said garter belt ♥ underwear as outerwear ♥ pink & turquoise ♥ turquoise nails ♥ my trusty doc martens ♥ the prospect of SEEING somewhere before september! (i asked daddy if i could get my eyes lasered before i go to school again & he said “but of course!”) ♥

there’s not much to say about this one. i wanted to make another dress with my new pattern. preferably a polka dot one. & i had some hot pink & turquoise polka dot cotton. then this happened.
the construction went so smoothly. i’m so proud of the zipper ^-^ i’ve never gotten an “invisible” zipper in this neatly before. i think i’ll use them more often.

i’ll try to take better pictures (with me in it!) & list it this weekend. so save up, save up, save up.
